This section of the website is for me, the writer/director of Skycrash, to reflect on the whole pre-production, production, and now soon-to-be post production process. We literally finished filming last week as I write this and while the production is still fresh in my mind, I think these reflective posts would be helpful for other independent filmmakers on a shoestring budget, as well as helpful for me for future projects.
I am a big believer in analyzing one’s process, knowledge, and outcomes so that each successive film becomes (hopefully) better and better. I’ll be covering everything and anything that comes to my mind, from casting ideas, to lenses, to problems we had with cast and crew. Hopefully I can help you, my fellow filmmakers, navigate the shark-infested waters of indie filmmaking that much better and safer.
